How to do a simple Nail Art?
By Anamika S
My experience with Nail Arts
My first experimentation with Nail Arts was seven years ago after seeing a model with nail art in the cover page of a fashion magazine and it turned out very well. Having an artistic inclination and knowledge of basic designing must have made me better at it but the fact is that even a child can make a few simple nail arts without much efforts. Practicing helps to polish the skills as well.
Nail art is a creative process through which nails are designed and decorated using a variety of products. Nail Art is considered as a strong style statement among women of all ages. By using nail art we can bring life to dull nails and achieve a glamorous look. Nail art can complement our outfits add a unique flair to our appearance. One can use the nail art on original nails or use a nail extension (Artificial/ Acrylic nails). With a little practice and a lot of patience you can create beautiful unique designs to brighten up your nails. A little creativity and imagination can do wonders to your nails.
Steps for doing a Simple Nail Art
Here are the steps for doing a Simple Nail Art.
a) Preparing the Nails for Nail Art
It is advisable to do a manicure to ensure that the nails are properly cleaned, cuticles and dead cells removed, nails filed and smoothened before doing nail art.
b) Designing
Apply a basic coat on your nails using your favorite nail polish. If your nail polish is dark our design should be made with light color nail polish and vice versa. Allow the nail polish to dry. Once the nail polish is dry draw simple designs like dots, stars, hearts, lines, flowers, alphabets etc on all the 5 fingers with variations. I use a LineArter brush to drawn the design as these thin brushes enable me to create designs with great precision. However, you can use a very thin brush for the purpose. Once the design is dry (for example: - stars, squares, hearts etc) proceed to fill inside the outlines with another color. Even dots can make a good design for nail art and you can use a toothpick to put dots on the nail. Allow the nail polish to dry. Once dried, give a final touch to the nails by applying one coat of transparent nail polish over the entire nails to give it a shiny and even look.
Now, wasn't that easy?

I am a man that has manicures and pedicures done. I go to a manicure shop to get it done. I wear clear polish on my fingernails. But on my feet, I wear colored polish, usually red on my toenails. I last had a manicure and pedicure done at the manicure shop. When I had my pedicure, I had the nail technicial paint red polish on my toenails and I also had cute flowers painted on my biggest toes on each feet. I love it a lot. I still had clear polish put on my fingernails.
Me too! Thanks for the Visit.
I just love nail art, it makes me so happy :)
I just read that stress causes ridges in your nails and many health factors can be shown just by looking at the color and "health" of the nail. So i would like to throw a 3rd into agreeing with y'all about having well groomed hands.
-very useful hub thanks!
I agree with both of you, a well groomed hands reflects the personality of the individual. Thanks for your responses.
I love hands and I like for men to have nice, clean well groomed hands as much as women. Interesting Hub. C.S.
Interesting topic though it meant for ladies!! Well manicured or pedicured lady reflects her personality and self-esteem and it does beautify them.
