Given below are some yoga postures and techniques a person who wants to stop smoking should practice.

- Sukhasana
- Corpse Pose
- Half Spinal Twist

Apart from the above yoga postures also practice regulated breathing (Pranayama), Alternate Nostril Breathing (Anulom Vilom) and Jala Neti which helps in cleansing and detoxifying the body of harmful toxins accumulated as a result of smoking. These techniques also help in having healthy lungs along with a better breathing mechanism in the body which helps the body to control the craving for cigarettes.
If Yoga Gurus have to be believed by the practice of yoga regularly soon your smoking habit which used to give you immense pleasure would soon be a nightmare to the extent that even reaching for a cigarette would makes you feel ill forcing you to give up the habit of smoking.
