Treating Excessive Sweating Disorder

Sweat is your body's way of cooling itself. But some people suffer from excessive sweating. This condition is called Hyperhidrosis and can cause severe social and psychological embarrassment. Many victims of this disorder stay indoors or stay near the air conditioning. Many victims of this disorder simply have to wait until the hot weather ends before they can finally stop sweating! Hyperhidrosis can affect your love life too. Excessive sweating can lead to body odor and huge perspiration stains under the arms. Some people also sweat heavily around the collar, between the shoulder blades and private parts. But the good news is that this condition is treatable.

Some of the cautions a person with the Excessive sweating disorder should do is

  • Wear natural fabrics like cotton and not Synthetic fabrics.
  • Drink plenty of Water throughout the day and keep away from alcohol, caffeine etc.
  • Bathe thoroughly at least twice a day.
  • After Bath dry yourself thoroughly and apply antifungal powder on areas like armpits and groin area.
  • Avoid all spicy and odor producing foods.
  • Avoid Caffeine.
  • Use a good Deodorant.
  • use antibacterial soap.
  • Wear loose light colored clothes made of cotton.

Some Herbal Remedies have proved to be very useful in treating excessive sweating. These remedies are Sage Tea, Kava Tea and Wheatgrass.

Other Hyperhidrosis Treatment Methods

Apart from the above given Home Remedies if excessive sweating is creating too much problem you may opt for a surgical treatment through which some sweat glands are removed or by destroying the nerves that control the sweating. Another option is injecting Botox in the armpit through which this problem can be controlled over a year. However, make sure you consult an Expert for the procedure.

Thanks, this is a great hub for people who want to reduce their sweat problem.

You mentioned surgery to remove sweat glands. Please allow me to add that there are very high risks associated with ETS surgery, and anyone considering this form of procedure should do a bit of research about the dangers of ETS before making a final decision. Thanks again
