Combining Aroma Therapy with Weight Loss Plans

A few days ago I met a friend after almost a year. She use to be around 20 kilos overweight more than a year ago and as colleagues we used to visit the Gym together before or after work. But working out at the gym used to make us so hungry that we use to go straight to a restaurant after the workout and eat whatever we feel. When I saw her I was surprised to see that she has shed that extra pounds and her skin was glowing. She told me what helped her in weight loss was Exercise on the Stepper, Negative Calorie Foods and Aroma Therapy. I am sharing the details she shared on aroma therapy.

Aromatherapy is a branch of alternative medicine that uses the scents of plants and their parts for therapeutic use. Essential oils are the key ingredient to using aromatherapy. Aromatherapy essential oils can work wonders in weight reduction program when combined with proper exercises and diet plans. To tell you the truth there is no one miracle aromatherapy product that will magically help in shedding the extra pounds. By using aromatherapy products one can reduce stress, grief, tiredness, fatigue, depression, anxiety etc which may encourage one to overeat or eat unhealthy foods. On top on that Aromatherapy has virtually no side effects as it is made up of drug free essential oils. Also you have a choice of products like Aromatherapy candles, inhalers, incense, diet, facial sprays and massage therapy using essential oils to choose from. Here are some things you can do.

  • Use Aroma Oil to massage body parts with extra fat after blending with base oil. One can use Grapefruit, Birch, Juniper, Fennel, Lemon and Orange etc for this purpose
  • Add 5 drops of Orange and Fennel, 3 drops of Birch and 2 drops of Grapefruit into warm water when taking bath to refresh your senses and is very effective for a perfect mood upliftment and in fighting out stress and strains related to obesity.
  • Blend 3 drops of Juniper and Orange, 2 drops of Lemon and Grapefruit in a cup of water. Put the mixture into a sprayer and use it as natural cologne throughout the day.
  • If you have Craving for Sweets smelling vanilla or lavender might help.
  • If you are tired after work and is feeling tired a few drops of juniper can revive you.
  • After a workout the scent of rosemary, rosewood, Orange, lemon, peppermint, vanilla, grapefruit etc can uplift your tired senses and make you feel energetic.
