Healing and Balancing the 7 Chakras with Beej Mantras
69Bija Mantras for the 7 Chakras
This is the continuation of my article Significance and Location of the 7 Chakras and Diseases associated with them. In order to enjoy good health it is essential to have healthy Chakras. But this does not happen always as Chakras can become imbalanced because of numerous factors like stress, physical and emotional traumas, stagnant energy, and unexpressed emotions etc. There are several methods or ways for balancing and healing a chakra imbalance. One of the methods to treat a Chakra imbalance is by chanting the Beeja Mantra (also referred to as Bij or Bija or Seed Mantras) related to the Chakra. The bija mantras used for chakra healing are seven Sanskrit words that correspond to the 7 major Chakras in the human body. These Beeja Mantras have immense healing powers and seem to have originated from the Hindu culture. Given below are the Beeja Mantras for the 7 Chakras in the Human body.
1st Chakra (Root or Base Chakra)
The mantra for this chakra is ‘Lam’.
2nd Chakra (Sacral Chakra)
The mantra for this chakra is ‘Vam’.
3rd Chakra (Solar Plexus Chakra)
The mantra of the Solar Plexus Chakra is ‘Ram’.
4th Chakra (Heart Chakra)
The mantra of the Heart Chakra is ‘Yam’.
5th Chakra (Throat Chakra)
The mantra for this Chakra is ‘Ham’.
6th Chakra (Third Eye Chakra)
The mantra for this Chakra is ‘Om’.
7th Chakra (Crown Chakra)
The mantra for the Crown Chakra is ‘All’.
It is said that by chanting the chakra mantras at least once in a day can help in activating, energizing and balancing the chakra system and clearing off blockages.

Great post Anamika. Want to try it but haven't found the will and determination to apply myself - keep making excuses. Some day I will start.
Have your thought of a career as a guru?
I see you have walked many paths, thank you for sharing
with us.
Namaste
Nice post gurujee, this hub is effective and useful with these video's.
Many years ago, I did a six week course in which we spent a large amount of time chanting the mantras of chakras , along with mongolian overtone chanting, which I found facinating and empowering.
Chanting to empower any aspect of your life can be very helpful as a way to focus energy and attention.
Thanks for sharing the Mantras, Anamika. And the video is great too, because it shows how to pronounce them alright. :)
THis is a very interesting hub anamika. I have heard of the um chant which is most popularly depicted in movies and such. Thank you for sharing this information with us. I think I would need to do this for about a solid week to help me out. Great hub.
