Chrysanthemum gemstone seems to have received its name because of the unique patterns embedded in the stone which resembles that of the flowering chrysanthemums. It is actually a natural volcanic rock with calcite crystal formations which are responsible for the flower patterns on the stone. This gemstone is also known as Flower Stone. This stone is normally found in red to brown and black and white. No two stones look the same. They are different and a unique work of art of nature.
